Family-owned waste-hauling company serves as municipal waste contractor
SAVANNAH, Tenn. – RaeKar, a Waynesboro-based waste-hauling and roll-off dumpster business, officially cut the ribbon on its Savannah-based operations September 19. The company was selected to take over Savannah’s municipal contract earlier this year. RaeKar’s waste collection services began August 15.
“We are thrilled to celebrate one month of service to Savannah residents and look forward to continuing to grow our business across Southwest Tennessee,” said Executive Vice President of Operations for RaeKar Tommy Legins.
RaeKar prides itself on being a family-owned business. Present at the ribbon cutting was the president and CEO of RaeKar, Jason Crews, along with his wife, Bridget. A special appearance was made by the company’s mascot Rowdy the Racoon.
The contract with Savannah is RaeKar’s 12th municipal contract. RaeKar also acquired Savannah-based Southeastern Environmental Dumpster in September 2023.
